Dream

Slowly, she closed her eyes and her weight disappeared. In her veins, light and serene, the blood stream turned dark marine blue.


Underneath her, the water was cold and heavy, so she turned towards the sky. Warm on her skin, iridescent, the light joined the liquid magic and she welcomed them both like long lost friends, sucking them through insatiable pores.


Her arms and legs grew to be extensions of the water that surrounded her, cuddled, sustained, and pushed her up towards the light with fluid fingers.


Nested in the cocoon of the silence, she dreamed the dream of a jellyfish…
